The main drive system for the WASP is composed of a right-angle gearbox (1:1), an overrunning clutch, and a final speed-reducing gearbox (4.18:1) which also has a power take-off for the tail rotor.  All gearboxes have a pumped oil lubrication system with chip detectors and temperature sensors. All components are easily accessible for removal or maintenance.
