Main Rotorblades & Controls
|
The
rotor head for the WASP helicopter is a two-bladed
teetering type. A conventional swashplate transfers
the collective and cyclic control motions from the
stationary plane to the rotary. The blades are
constructed from carbon fiber material and are
balanced about the quarter chord position. Initial
blade balancing is done by adjusting small weights
at the blade tips and sweeping the blades by
adjusting the length of the drag links. |
